Lets just say that the Littleton house has an over abundance of threads and scraps littering our floors but hopefully not needles...(ask Michael about needles) I have been sewing like crazy since my friend (she is amazingly talented in the craft world) asked me to do a church craft fair with her. At the time it sounded like fun to get to work on projects and earn some extra money for a mission trip I am taking with the youth group this summer (that is if anyone buys this stuff). But knowing me I have waited till last minute and have consequently been on a sewing binge the last four days. Sun up to sun down sewing. I have been sewing so much I have developed hives from the process. (I do have hives but maybe not from sewing) Also as I write this I notice that I have many quotation marks with side thoughts and added extra information, this is a clue to how my brain works. I don't just do one thing at a time...no I start eleven or twelve at a time and soon find myself in a sea of half and three quarter finished projects. My original idea was just to make reusable grocery bags, all the same, with no frills. I got board with that so it has expanded to some lined bags and purses. And why buy new material when there is a world of wonderful vintage goodness out there. So the last month I have been combing the thrift stores for the material for the bags/purses. This has been fun but very time consuming.
Saturday will come and I will have to be done, even if all projects are not finished. I can't say that I am sad about this. I am looking forward to getting to spend all day with my friend (with no babies, I love our babies but it will be nice) and watch as she has lines and lines of people buying her beautiful jewelry.
Now I am going to end my day with a benadryl (because of the hives) and sleep like a (most people would insert baby here but I don't move with benadryl) dead person. Oh and please come the the craft fair Saturday 17th at Lighthouse.
