My baby boy is one today! Oh how fast the time has gone.

So strange, I wasn't quite ready for this and neither were my flowers.

This mocha powder is very good! After finding a brand new espresso machine on one of my thrift store outings, Michael and I have made it a regular weekend treat to make cafe mochas. We have tried various syrups and powders but after trying this Starbucks brand it is by far the best. It is not to sweet, but has a rich dark chocolaty flavor that smoothly tantalizes your taste buds. We even had some freshly whipped cream this morning!

Such a wonderful day with my man and boy. We don't generally play on the bed in the middle of the day, but because we are working on refinishing the floors in the rest of the house we are living in the family room. (It is a mess) So the bed is smack dab in the middle. We had a wonderful lunch which included tacos with tortilla and chips from the Mexican bakery down the road (they are the BEST tortillas and chips) and homemade salsa from all our garden pickings. And to top it off we drank auth...

We are home from a real vacaton.
It was wonderful.
This hammock was filled often and much needed rest was recieved.
I took way too many photos and now have loads and loads of laundry.
But the effects of the rest are at work
Because I have a smile on my face this morning.

I missed my cup of coffee this morning. My husband usually has a nice cup ready for me when I get out of bed or at least in the the thermos (due to my slow waking up). No beans means no coffee. So instead I found myself drinking a watery cup of International Delight French Vanilla instant coffee...no comparison to my husbands brew.

So I am back from vacation and my husband made it back alive as well...These are some of my favorite photos from my cousin's wedding. It was absolutely delightful with all the umbrellas. The designs were wonderful. Chinese prints with lotus flowers, birds, in wonderful blues and reds. I would have loved to take some more shots but trying to juggle a ten month old, feed him cheerios to keep quiet, and attempt to take photos is a feat that I myself didn't think I was going to be able to handle....

I have been working like crazy to get packed for Chael and my mini vacation. It won't be exactly like a vacation because our favorite man won't be there but we will try to have as much fun as we can. As Chael and I are headed up to Oregon, Michael will be headed down to sunny California with a van full of junior and high school age kids. The yearly mission trip will ensue. I have to say I am going to miss that trip this year but I am very excited to see all my family and celebrate a wedding. ...

I was surprised this morning as I checked my morning blogs to see the latest posts, to find my photo of Chael and Cabela on Shutter Sisters' oneword project page. It was pretty shocking to see one of my photos on a real blog. It makes me want to head out and take some more pictures. In fact I think Chael and I will go exploring in the bicycle today! Doesn't that sound like fun??? I love a fresh new day when the sun is shinning, the grass is green, and the peas need picking. Enjoy your day!
